Emily Rose Loughrey was the most fantastic person you could ever have hoped to meet. Her smile lit up every room she entered. In her short, but full life, Emily touched and inspired all who met her and there was never a problem that could not be resolved. To this day, Emily still inspires people and friends to celebrate and commemorate her life, by raising money for a charity that cares for children & young people with cancer. Emily was also known as Embo, a name she adopted as a young girl living in Hameln Germany while her father served there with HM Forces. Following her Graduation from Canterbury Christchurch University in 2006, Emily went travelling to Australia and it was during this time that she was diagnosed with a wild form of cancer. On her return to the UK and as a family, this brought about our initial contact with Clic Sargent and a fantastic Clic Sargent social worker called Sarah at The Royal Marsden in Sutton. Sarah, continues to support and help us to this day. Following her initial diagnosis and very short illness, Emily passed away just three months later.

This site has been set up to celebrate and share the experiences and fun that we have all had, as well as the old and new friends we have made in charity fund raising for CLIC Sargent. We have met some pretty amazing people along the way and helped raise(to date) approximatly £80000 in Emilys name for CLIC Sargent. Please Enjoy!
